Actor Kevin Spacey helped tennis ace Novak Djokovic celebrate his win over British hopeful Andy Murray in the Australian Open final on Sunday (27Jan13) and even got the chance to lift the championship trophy himself.
The American Beauty star caught all the action courtside at the Grand Slam men's final in Melbourne as Djokovic came from behind to defeat Murray 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-2 and land his first major win of 2013 - his third consecutive Australian Open title.
Spacey headed backstage after the big game to congratulate the Serbian and commiserate with Murray and he shared a number of photos of his sporting encounters on his Twitter.com page.
Alongside one shot with the runner-up, Spacey writes, "w (with) @Andy_Murray after Men's Final. His day in Australia will come. Brilliant player who will win many titles. v (very) nice guy too."
Alongside another image, a group shot with Djokovic, he tweets, "Celebrating with Team @DjokerNole after the Men's Final. Also w/ (with) Tennis President Steve Healy & Tournament Dir (director): Craig Tiley. Thanks to both for their amazing hospitality."
Spacey even shared a cheeky snap of him holding the trophy with the caption, "Trying to steal @DjokerNole trophy... Almost made it, but then he came in the room..."
