Kevin Spacey at the Grey Goose Ball

Kevin Spacey hosted the Grey Goose Ball for the Elton John AIDs Foundation with the British artist and his husband David Furnish

When Elton John throws a bash you can bet that it's worth being there for. That was a feeling certainly shared by some of the great and the good of the press' entertainment pages with a glittering guest list turning up to the Battersea Power Station in London for the Grey Goose Ball - an event held by the British musician for his charity The Elton John AIDS Foundation. On hosting duties alongside him were his husband David Furnish and Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey, whilst a veritable gliteratti of guests including Elizabeth Hurley, David Hasselhoff and music stars such as Jessie Ware and JLS turned up for the party. Talking of music, live performances were provided on the night by one of 2012's huge breakthrough stars Emeli Sande, as well as Labrinth

David Furnish was on hand to help host the evening with his husband Elton John. It was recently announced that the pair are expecting their second child.

The bulk of the money raised for the AIDS foundation on Saturday night (November 10) came from an auction led by Labrinth and 90s music star Jay Kay from Jamiroquai. It's now 20 years since the foundation was formed, with Elton John having been affected greatly by the loss of friends including Freddie Mercury to the sexually transmitted disease.

Elizabeth Hurley hasn't been as ubiquitous on the red carpet as in other years; it was good to see her out with Shane Warne for the event
