Fowler discussed his father, Geoff, who died at the age of 68 in 1992. Geoff was supposedly a failed writer and far-right-wing who chose to model his looks on his 'idol', Adolf Hitler. He allegedly beat Kevin and their sister Julie, although Fowler reveals that he was sexually molested in addition to the physical abuse.
Randal Fowler stated that: "I constantly threatened my father that if he ever touched [Kevin] I'd confront my mother with what was going on and that would destroy the family. I really felt I was sacrificing myself for the sake of my little brother. [Kevin] was so determined to avoid the whippings, that he just minded his Ps and Qs until there was nothing inside. He had no feelings."

'The Usual Suspects' star's spokesperson, Staci Wolfe, spoke to 'STAR' magazine in an attempt to clean the slate, saying: "[Randall's] claim against his father is a very serious one and has been a difficult personal family matter. The family all feel deeply for his situation. Kevin has not experienced any of the distress his brother describes - he has never been a victim of abuse. He can only sympathise with him."
Fowler continued to reveal a 1987 conversation with Spacey, in which he questioned his younger brother's sexuality. Spacey supposedly responded by saying: "I don't consider myself heterosexual, homosexual or bisexual - just sexual." Fowler expanded on the revelation, saying: "To the best of my knowledge, Kevin has never had a real relationship with anyone except our mother. He's an empty vessel. Neither of us had a chance, growing up with two such damaged parents."
