Robin Thicke's New Album Titled 'Paula': Ten More Cringe-Worthy Album Titles

Robin Thicke Paula Patton Limp Bizkit Kid Rock Crispin Glover Mariah Carey Will Smith Westlife Charlotte Church Cher Fall Out Boy

In perhaps the most audacious and downright ridiculous move the music business has witnessed in the last few years, singer Robin Thicke has announced his new album will carry the title of Paula, which by some strange coincidence just happens to be the name of his estranged wife- actress Paula Patton.

Thicke and Patton at 56th Grammy AwardsThicke and Paula in more happy circumstances.

To say such a public declaration of love is cringe-worthy would be an understatement, it is such a trite attempt at reconciling with his wife that is seems like something straight out of Spinal Tap. You can imagine the album title sitting quite comfortably alongside the likes of Smell The Glove and Shark Sandwich. As if that wasn’t irksome enough, Thicke’s debut single from the album is entitled "Get Her Back” and it sees the ageing crooner positively straining to exude as much heartfelt sincerity as he can before he gives himself a heart attack.

SunFest is back in Florida once again with another impressively diverse line-up and non-stop activity for five days. This year, the bill is headlined by Kid Rock, Ellie Goulding and Robin Thicke.

Probably the best sun-soaked family vacation you could ask for at such great value, SunFest arrives at West Palm Beach today (April 30th 2014) with a line-up that truly has something for everyone - if you'd pardon the cliché. Like any decent festival, filling in the spaces between bands is everything from the BB&T Juried Fine Art & Craft show to the Floating Oasis barge parties, not to mention the much anticipated fireworks display on Sunday. Having hosted its first event in 1982, it's no wonder it has remained such a family favourite, attracting over 165,000 revellers each year.

Nashville Pays Its Respects To The Late George Jones With Star-Studded Concert

The late, great George Jones was honored this Friday at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Friday. The night was originally intended to celebrate the country icon’s retirement, but after his death last April, it was held as a sort of posthumous tribute. Billed as 'Playin' Possum: The Final No-Show,' the sold-out concert featured acts ranging from Garth Brooks and GEORGE STRAIT to Kid Rock and MEGADETH, USA Today reports.

George Jones
The late George Jones defined the face of country music for most of the 20th century.

"During the funeral, we mourned George; tonight we celebrate," former Grand Ole Opry announcer Keith Bilbrey told the crowd at the start of the show. The performances ran on for over four hours, in order to accommodate the 112 artists, performing in memory of Jones. "Talk about wrangling cats!" Co-host Charlie Chase quipped early on in the show. "Everybody I've talked to says they're going on early," Dierks Bentley said backstage.

The suspect was identified by two tipsters and apprehended thanks to security footage from the rocker’s home, showing the aspiring burglar to be a white male on crutches. Beyonce Enlivens Ailing Detroit With Sam Cooke's 'Change Is Gonna Come'

Beyonce Knowles Neill Blomkamp Sam Cooke Eminem Kid Rock

Beyonce injected some much-needed optimism into the city of Detroit on Saturday night with a swashbuckling show at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Last week, Detroit became biggest ever city to file for bankruptucy, with Michigan Governor Rick Snyder saying the Motor City is "basically broke," according to BBC News.

However, a dizzying performance from the world's biggest entertainer distracted the city's people, if only for two hours.

The 31-year-old's set was full of attitude, soul and passion and she paid tribute to the town with a cover of Sam Cooke's classic song 'Change is Gonna Come' as a video montage of Detroit themes played behind her all-girl band. Kid Rock, Eminem, Joe Louis, The Renaissance Center, a United Auto Workers logo and a motivational quote from Henry Ford all apperared.

Ever wanted to know what Andy Murray and his fellow Wimbledon competitors listen to before heading out onto centre court? Well, of course Roger Federer chills out to The National, Rafael Nadal listens to the soothing sounds of Spanish guitars and Djokovic listens to early Oasis. Obviously.

But what about young Murray? With pretty much everyone in Britain anticipating him to win his first Wimbledon title, the Scottish star has shared his playlist with Spotify. It's made up of a couple of morale boosting stompers with some contemporary grooves in there for good measure. Worryingly, 1980's singer-songwriter and Meg Ryan's latest squeeze John Mellencamp makes two appearances on the list, as does Ed Sheeran. AC/DC's legendary rock anthem 'You Shook Me All Night Long' and Robin Thicke's No.1 track Blurred Lines also helps Andy remain focused. Apparently.

Amid Criticism From Kid Rock, Of All People, Justin Bieber Announces New Movie

Justin Bieber Kid Rock

There might be some truth to Kid Rock’s comparison between Justin Bieber and Vanilla Ice. "Tell me if this is wrong. Justin Bieber...is 100 percent like watching Vanilla Ice all over again. It's exactly the same," Rock said to Howard Stern on Sirius XM. The comment may very well be completely accurate, but Bieber probably can’t hear it over the sound of his money piling up.

Still, Kid Rock predicts that even the money won’t save JB from the inevitable downward spiral. "The kid's young. He's got some money. He's got the world in his hands. It's just kind of sad to see him go down this trajectory," said the rock veteran. "It's gonna be a very long ride down. We all know the story. I kind of feel for the kid, to be honest with you." Watch part of the interview below.

Miguel Insists He Was Never Told Not To Attempt Botched Staged Jump

Miguel Justin Bieber Kid Rock

R&B singer Miguel has insisted that, despite what the organisers of last month's Billboard Music Awards have said, he was never told to not to attempt his disastrous stage jump. The singer tried clearing a gap in the stage where some audience members were stood, only to land leg first on two unwitting fans.

Nonononono!

According to TMZ, the 'Adorn' singer had attempted the jump in rehearsals a few times and not only was he not told to drop the stunt, but was asked before the show if he was still going to go through with the jump before the show so that the cameras didn't miss it. This completely contradicts what the producers at the BMAs said previously, with the music bigwigs having previously told press outlets that executive producer for the showcase Don Mischer had spoken to Miguel personally after rehearsals to told him not to perform the ill-fated leap.

Kid Rock Slams Lip-Syncers At Billboard Awards [Video]

Kid Rock Miguel Justin Bieber Madonna

This years Billboard Awards were very eventful indeed; trouble is (for the big wigs at Billboard at least), it was a memorable event for all the wrong reasons. One of the stand-out events of the night had to be Kid Rock's very tongue-in-cheek shout out to all the lip syncing artists in the audience.

As the rocker took to the stage to present an award, he first welcomed himself to the stage by asking the audience for "a shout out for all the artists lip-syncing over pre-recorded music," to which the crowd gave a hearty cheer in return. This may not be as cringe-worthy funny as Miguel's mishap or Bieber's treatment by his peers for asking to be "taken seriously," but still, it's a pretty ballsy move on Rock's behalf. The outburst didn't really sour things though, as the rocker moved swiftly on to reading out the nominees.

Kid Rock Talks Wealth Distribution And Republican Shame

Kid Rock

Kid Rock didn’t make many friends when he backed Mitt Romney in the run up to the American election. But the long-time musician has displayed some pretty liberal views about athletes’ earnings.

"Athletes and musicians make astronomical amounts of money," he tells Rolling Stone. "People get paid $100 million to throw a baseball! Shouldn't we all take less and pass some of that money onto others? Think about firefighters, teachers and policemen. We should celebrate people that are intellectually smart and trying to make this world a better place." He’s got a point, hasn’t he? But it’s his admission of the Republican’s failings that really sets this interview apart. "That's one of the times I'm f***ing embarrassed to be a Republican," he seethes, talking about paperless ticketing. "It's f***ing Republican lawmakers passing those laws, you dumbasses. They already did it in New York and they're trying to do it in Michigan. I've even called some of those guys to try and stop it." He's also livid with Ticketmaster. "They're taking a fucking five-dollar service charge," he says. "It's 25 percent of the fucking ticket! That's fucked up, but I've beaten them up as much as I can. Then Walmart stepped in and agreed to charge just $20, and it includes parking."

Kid Rock is all about the fans; he’s being 100% transparent about his ticket sales, despite perhaps not making as much money. "We're doing that with 1,000 tickets to each show," he says. "The money is going into our pocket. We're going to try and combat scalpers."

Kid Rock To Sell Tour Tickets At Just $20 All Summer Long

Kid Rock ZZ Top

Kid Rock has made a massive step in the music industry by capping his upcoming US tour ticket prices at a bargain $20 in the hope of creating a better experience for fans.

The 'All Summer Long' hitmaker is determined to pick up high sales from his cheaper priced admission fees and put a stop to 'scalping'; the practise of re-selling tickets (usually for sold out gigs) at often extortionate prices. He has thenceforth teamed up with Walmart to sell the cheaper tickets, although popular ticket sellers Ticketmaster will still have their own parking and service charges. "

No hidden fees, no gimmicks", Kid Rock insists to Detroit Free Press. The new action even includes his special three night show at the DTE Energy Music Theater in Clarkston, Michigan where he will be supported by ZZ Top.

Out Now: US Album Releases, Rihanna, Kid Rock, Phillip Phillips

Rihanna Chris Brown Kid Rock Phillip Phillips Dave Matthews Kelly Clarkson

The release of Rihanna’s seventh studio album hasn’t come without a significant fanfare. The Barbadian pop artist is currently in the midst of an ambitious tour, playing seven different cities, in seven different countries, over seven days. As the tour hits London, there’s already been talk of drunken antics and streaking on the official ‘777’ tour plane. Before you get too excited, though, it wasn’t Rhi-Rhi getting her kit off; it would seem that it was just a drunk and frustrated journo.

The album itself, Unapologetic, has been making just as many headlines as the lavish release tour. When Rihanna posted a handwritten tracklisting on Twitter, many an eyebrow was raised to see Chris Brown’s name on there, signifying that the tabloids’ favorite former couple would perform a duet. Many a second eyebrow was also raised, when they saw that the title of the duet was ‘Nobodies Business.’ English language aficionados and domestic abuse experts alike were up in arms at the news, though Rihanna remains both defiant and unapologetic over it.

As for the music, so far, we have had the track ‘Diamonds,’ to give a taster of what to expect on Unapologetic. ‘Diamonds’ has already spent four weeks in the chart, having peaked at number two, which bodes well for album number seven from Rihanna.

Election Day 2012: Obama Or Romney? Let Your Favorite Celebrity Decide!

Barack Obama Jay Z Beyonce Knowles George Clooney Stacey Dash Kid Rock Snoop Dogg

And so the day finally arrives. After months of campaigning, it's officially Election Day 2012, with America set to choose between President Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney. There's nothing more either man can do but sit back, try to relax and hope the votes flood in.

One thing's for sure, it's going to be no landslide for either candidate and both will pull in millions of votes to make it one of the closest run elections in years. As a Democrat, Obama can rely on California and New York, and Romney is certain to take Texas, Oklahoma, South Carolina - basically everything in the south - though the election hinges on the swing-states Florida, Nevada and most importantly, Ohio. The bookmakers certainly think they know who's going to be President on Wednesday, offering odds of around 1/6 on President Obama with around 9/2 on Mitt Romney. We're pretty sure Republicans may think that's worth a flutter, though if you're still unsure about who to vote for - or think you've voted for the wrong candidate - check out the celebrity endorsements to see if your favourite stars agree with you!

Katy Perry Skintight Ballot Dress: Will You Tick The Same Box? (Video)

Katy Perry Barack Obama Bruce Springsteen Kid Rock

Katy Perry's skintight ballot dress is back in the news today. Unsurprising, given Americans are heading out to the polls today to back either Barack Obama or Mitt Romney for the Presidency. We're sure those still undecided will be checking back to see which box Perry had ticked on her skintight ballot dress. Probably.

Perry, 28, wore the famous dress whilst performing at an Obama rally in Milwaukee last week. The ballot style image on the front had the President's box clearly ticked, with Mitt Romney getting nothing more than a big blank space. Later, the singer took off the dress to reveal yet another skintight number, this time, a white-and-blue 'Forward' frock referencing the slogan for Obama's re-election campaign. The Fireworks singer has been one of the President's most prominent supporters in recent months, though Bruce Springsteen has perhaps worked the hardest for Obama. He's appeared at three rallies in total, though thankfully didn't wear any skintight clothing. Instead, he kept it very 'Boss' like, with jeans, a dark shirt and waistcoat. He played for 18,000 supporters at a recent rally in Madison, Wisconsin.

Meanwhile, Kid Rock has been rocking out for Romney, performing in Manchester, New Hampshire on Monday evening.
