Kiesza MTVKiesza is bringing 90’s house back with her new music

If ‘No Enemiesz’ and the like are what we can expect from the 13 track full-length, we’re in for some of the best pop of the year. Amongst the songs on the track listing include titles like ‘Cut Me Loose, ‘Vietnam,’ and ‘Bad Thing,’ which features hip-hop artist Joey Bada$$. But will the rest of the songs on Sound of a Woman follow in the footsteps of songs released thus far? “I think people will be surprised to hear some of the songs on this album,” Kiesza said about the record. “Because of the success of my first two singles, I'm seen perhaps as a house or dance artist but I've been into grunge, rock, folk groups in the past. All of those experiences and influences have led me to create this album.”

Aside from her solo stuff, Kiesza’s feature on Skrillex and Diplo’s Jack U song, ‘Take U There’ has been making its rounds on the blogs, and it’ll be included on Jack U’s upcoming mixtape. She also co-wrote the track, ‘Go All Night,’ on the house duo Gorgon City’s debut record. However, her most known co-writing credits could be yet to come. According to Digital Spy, Rihanna recorded a couple Kiesza-written songs that may be on her new album. "The one that Rihanna has cut is one that I never in a million years expected her to pick out, so it was super interesting. It just shows that people want to evolve and try new things."
