Pink, a 13-year-old girl from Thailand, has allegedly turned down Kim Kardashian's offer to adopt her as Pink understandably wants to remain close to her family in Thailand.

33-year-old Kardashian met Pink whilst visiting an orphanage in Phang Nga province in Thailand earlier this year. Their meeting in April was recorded on Keeping Up With the Kardashians and showed Kardashian becoming close to Pink.

In the episode, Kardashian expressed her desire to adopt Pink and claimed they had a special connection. "When you meet someone that you really connect to like this, you can't help but think like how you could change their life. And I think that looking into adoption would be amazing," Kardashian explained during the episode.

Pink, whose real name is Laddawan Tong-Keaw, also believed they shared a connection. "When she came here, it seemed as if I was the first one she looked at and smiled at. We had a connection straight away. I think she is really pretty and she has a very nice personality," Pink said.

Kardashian discussed the adoption with her mother, Kris Jenner, and husband, Kanye West. "I literally cannot stop thinking about her. I told Kanye, I was like, honestly, this girl is so sweet and so cute, like, I would honestly adopt her," Kardashian stated, as Metro reports. She further described how it would be "amazing" to adopt a child and how rewarding it would be to "change their life".  Kardashian reportedly had a private conversation with Pink and her family about the possibility of adoption but Pink decided she would rather stay in Thailand.

Pink explained her reasons for deciding to remain in Thailand stating that it wasn't the right decision for her. "Everyone wants to have a different or a better life, I suppose. But when I thought about it I realised it wouldn't be good for me, because I would have to leave so much behind. I wasn't ready for that," Pink said, as The Mail reports.

Pink also has a family, despite living at the orphanage, as her mother Rose visits the home everyday to care for Pink and the other 24 children who live there. Rose lives in a nearby village with Pink's younger brother. Pink explained how she had discussed being adopted by Kardashian with her mother. 44-year-old Rose, stated that she was "proud" Kardashian wanted to adopt Pink, but that she was unwilling to see her daughter leave Thailand until she had finished high school.

Pink explained: 'I spoke to my mum about Kim and she said 'When you finish High School and you can look after yourself, I will give you permission to go and live with Kim if you want to go. But the other children here and like brothers and sisters to me and I couldn't leave them behind. They are my family and I couldn't just go away and leave them."
