During both her pregnancy with daughter North and son Saint, Kardashian suffered from ‘placenta accreta', which is a potentially life threatening condition, where the placenta abnormally attaches to the uterine wall.

Kardashian has previously stated that she wants a large family with West, telling Ellen Degeneres last year she 'always wanted about six’ children. 'After having [North] I would have a million,’ she said, while also admitting that her pregnancy had been difficult.

'The pregnancy, I wouldn't really wish that upon anyone. Anyone,' Kardashian added. 'It's all worth it in the end, so I would definitely suffer through that, but pregnancy was not a good experience for me. At all’. Kardashian had also been chronicling her pregnancy online, through a blog on her official website.
