Her second pregnancy caused her such difficulty that she vowed not to have any more children after she gave birth in January this year, but Kim Kardashian is now reportedly exploring surrogacy as a way of expanding her family.

The 36 year old reality star makes the admission in a teaser for the forthcoming episode of ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’, telling her sisters that she wants to “explore surrogacy” as a way of having a third child with her 39 year old husband Kanye West.

“So I've come to the conclusion that I just want to explore surrogacy,” Kim tells the family, which reacts with surprise.

Kim is already a mother to two children – three year old daughter North and 10 month old son Saint – but she has been open about the physical toll that pregnancy takes on her body. During both experiences, she had a potentially life threatening condition in which the placenta abnormally attaches to the uterine wall.

At the end of 2015, TMZ reported that this meant that she was told by doctors that she should not have any more children because of the health risks, and that the condition would almost certainly strike again if she were to become pregnant for a third time.

Kim says in the brief clip that her decision is partly down to Kanye, who has been enthusiastic about having more kids ever since Saint was born.

“I was so set on my two kids and how happy I was with my life the way that it is,” she explained to her sisters, “but Kanye has been mentioning it every single day for the past 10 days. I'm like, why is he doing this to me?”
