Kim Kardashian could have her brother Rob walk her down the aisle at her wedding.

The reality star's sibling is set to carry out the honour at her nuptials to Kanye West instead of her stepfather Bruce Jenner following his split with her mother Kris earlier this month.

The decision is allegedly causing tensions as Bruce - who gave Kim away at her 2011 wedding to ex-husband Kris Humphries - has helped to raise Kim and siblings Khloe, Kourtney and Rob since she was 11 and has been a constant father figure in her life since her dad Robert Kardashian died of cancer in 2003.

A source told the MailOnline: ''Kris thinks it should be Rob now [she and Bruce] are separated and thinks it might be bad form to ask Bruce after the Kris Humphries wedding, but Kim and the girls are backing Bruce, they still see him as their father.''

Kim - who married Kris in a lavish ceremony televised on her E! reality show 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' before splitting after just 72 days - reportedly wants to keep her upcoming nuptials low key.

A source added: ''At this rate Kim and Kanye could elope.''

Kim got engaged to Kanye - with whom she has four-month-old daughter North - after the rapper rented out the whole of San Francisco's AT&T Park to pop the question with a 15 carat diamond ring on Monday, the same day as Kim's 33rd birthday (21.10.13).
