Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West have confirmed the birth of their second child, just weeks before Christmas. The couple, who are already parents to two-year-old North West, have welcomed a son, just one day after Kim showed off her baby bump at nine-months on Instagram.

"KANYE AND I WELCOME OUR BABY BOY!" Kim wrote on her website. "Mother and son are doing well.” No further details on the birth have been revealed and the couple are yet to announce the baby’s name.

Yesterday Kim, who has been keeping fans updated on her pregnancy through her official blog and Instagram account, shared a picture of her bump at nine months. "Ready whenever you are lol,” the impatient mom-to-be captioned the image.

Writing on her blog on Friday, Kim revealed that she has gained 60 pounds during the course of her pregnancy. "A few weeks to go and 60 pounds up! I look at other celebrities and Instagram girls who are literally so skinny right after giving birth," she wrote. "How is that possible?!?! F--k, I hope people don't expect that from me, LOL!"

"I mean, I'm focused and I love the challenge of getting my body back and feeling good again, BUT I am going to be a little bit more realistic.” Kim also recently announced that her son is no longer in breech, after previously sharing her anxieties over the birth.

“So I wanted to give you guys an update on my pregnancy since my last post,” she wrote. “This weekend, I checked into the hospital and underwent a procedure called an ECV (External Cephalic Version, or a Version), which is done to manually turn the baby from a breech position to a head-down position. They gave me an IV with medication to relax my uterus, and then three doctors attempted to work together to turn the baby.”
