Kim Kardashian West met Caitlyn Jenner at her Vanity Fair shoot.

The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star has revealed she first laid eyes on her stepmother - who was previously known as Bruce Jenner before undergoing a gender transition - when she attended the cover shoot, Caitlyn's first as a woman.

She told Entertainment Tonight: ''It was so beautiful. I actually went to the shoot, and that was my first time meeting Caitlyn.

''She's beautiful, and I'm so proud that she can just be her authentic self. I guess that's what life is about.''

Meanwhile, Kim previously spoke out about the family's unfaltering support for Caitlyn.

She said: ''No matter what, we love [Caitlyn]. I know [she] feels great that [her] whole family does support [her].

''I feel for people that don't have that support. There's such a high suicide rate in the transgender community, which is heartbreaking.''

The 34-year-old television personality also took to social media to share a snap from the photo shoot, urging her stepmother to be ''happy [and] proud'' with who she is.

She wrote: ''Caitlyn Jenner for Vanity Fair. Annie Leibovitz! How beautiful! Be happy, be proud, live life YOUR way! (sic)''
