Richards, who is also the aunt of Paris Hilton, was arrested in April when police officers were called out to the Polo Club at the Beverly Hills Hotel. She had reportedly been asked to leave by hotel security but she refused. She proceeded to lock herself in the bathroom and had to be forcibly removed by police. Richards was charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest and trespassing.

Shortly after her arrest, Richards checked into rehab. Her struggle with alcoholism is well documented and she has previously been admitted to rehab. The Los Angeles court has also ordered Richards complete 52 days of Alcoholics Anonymous, as People reports.

As a result of her ongoing struggle with alcoholism and legal troubles, Richards will not be appearing in the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Richards’ legal woes may not be over as yet. In August, she was arrested for shoplifting at a Target store in Los Angeles.

Richards is not the only former Real Housewives star to be embroiled in legal trouble. Teresa Giudice, the star of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, is currently serving prison time in Connecticut for charges including bank, wire and bankruptcy fraud.
