Kimberley Walsh is fighting her broody urges.

The Girls Aloud singer is about to become an aunt, but while she can't wait to see her pregnant sister's bump, she plans to fight her own maternal urges because she's not ready to have kids yet.

She said: "My sister Sally is three months pregnant and I'm really excited. I can't wait until the baby comes along.

"It will probably make me more broody, but I'll just have to hold that feeling down as I'm not quite ready for children just yet."

Kimberley thinks it will be great being an aunt because she will get all the joy from playing with the baby without the sleepless nights.

Writing in her column for Britain's OK! magazine, she said: "I'll enjoy all the good bits without the late night feeds and early mornings."

Kimberley, 28, is also thrilled her Girls Aloud bandmate Nadine Coyle has got engaged to NFL player Jason Bell.

Kimberley - who is also joined in the band by Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding - said: "Nadine was the last person I thought would get married. She's never been the marriage type, so I'm really happy for her that she's found that place with Jason."
