Kimberley Walsh has revealed she is determined to have a natural birth but is too scared to have her baby at home after witnessing the arrival of her nephew.
Kimberley Walsh wants to have a natural birth.
The former Girls Aloud singer is pregnant with her first child with her boyfriend of over 10 years Justin Scott and she has started to create her birth plan.
Kimberley hasn't decided how she wants to deliver the tot yet but has made up her mind she wants to do it naturally.
Speaking at The Health Lottery Champagne Tea Party at The Savoy Hotel in London on Monday (02.06.14), she told BANG Showbiz: ''I'm hoping to have a natural birth, but I'm also very aware that things can happen and I'm trying to keep an open mind and see how it goes and how it's going to pan out, but I would like to give birth naturally.''
Kimberley has decided against having a home birth after watching her nephew being born and witnessing the complications that occurred.
She revealed: ''I wouldn't want a home birth because I experienced my nephew's birth which became quite complicated and I think that really put me off the idea of having a baby at home. I want to be near the emergency services. But I want to do it naturally.''
The 32-year-old star has been enjoying her pregnancy so far and hasn't had any bad side-effects yet.
She said: ''I've been really lucky with my pregnancy so far everything's been fairly easy - although I should touch wood. I've not really had any sickness and I still feel full of energy so I'm going to make the most of it while I can.''
When asked if she was having any unusual cravings, she added: ''I was obsessed with chilli for a while but now I'm a bit more level and trying to be quite healthy. I do my juicing as well as eating good food. I'm trying to take in as much goodness as I can before the baby is born.''
Other stars at the event - held to celebrate The Health Lottery raising £50 million for community healthy projects in the UK - included Simon Cowell and his girlfriend Lauren Silverman, Ashley Roberts, Amy Childs and The Who singer Roger Daltrey.
