Kimberly Wyatt is turning her back on pop for her debut solo album.

The former Pussycat Doll - who is currently riding high in the UK singles chart with rapper Aggro Santo with their single 'Candy' - wants to push herself musically and says her upcoming LP will contain various influences, including dub-step.

Kimberly - who is working with Aggro on some tracks for the record - said: "Now I've left I can do all the grimey, indie, different things I've always wanted to do. It's exciting to finally meet people who get me and get different sounds and want to do it with me. So many producers are just pop driven."

As well as her solo album, the pop beauty is also working on a dance-driven side project entitled Her Majesty and the Wolves.

Kimberly - who quit the Pussycat Dolls in February this year, following reports of a fall out between her and the girl group's lead singer Nicole Scherzinger - told the Daily Star newspaper: "I wanted to come up with something that was completely different. I want people to come to a Her Majesty and the Wolves gig and not know what they're going to get."
