The stars of Kings Of Leon shun limousines in favour of public transport when they are in London as they can travel unrecognised.

The rockers, who were in town last week (ends15Jun14) to rehearse for their set at the Isle of Wight Festival on Sunday (15Jun14), are convinced taking the London Underground is faster than sitting in a traffic jam, so they often jump on a Tube train to get around the city.

Bassist Jared Followill tells Absolute Radio's Pete Donaldson and Sarah Champion, "We never get recognised. I think people would be surprised but we're not a very recognisable band."

Guitarist Matt Followill adds, "No one makes eye contact or looks at you on the underground, right? Everyone's all head down. So it was rush hour and we're coming from rehearsal (last week) and we just didn't want to wait and sit in traffic..."
