‘Game of Thrones’ star Kit Harington has opened up about how he fell in love with girlfriend Rose Leslie, who he first met in 2012 while filming the second season of the HBO fantasy drama. Leslie appeared on the show for three seasons, playing Snow’s love interest Ygritte, before being killed off in season four.

Rose Leslie and Kit HaringtonKit Harington has described falling in love with co-star Rosie Leslie.

Speaking to Italian Vogue, Harington was asked what his favourite memory was from his time on ‘Game of Thrones’. “The three weeks in Iceland when we were shooting the second season,” the 29-year-old actor said.

“Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love. If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it’s becomes very easy to fall in love…”

The couple were first rumoured to be dating in 2012, but were then thought to have split up. Then in January of this year they were reported to have rekindled their romance. They then became official in April when they attended the 2016 Olivier Awards together.

But what’s still unclear is wether or not Leslie knew the fate of Jon Snow, before season six episode two, of if she was left in the dark like the rest of us, Earlier this month Harington told Entertainment Weekly that Leslie knew Snow’s fate "from early on" and that the showrunners were aware he’d be letting her in on the secret.

However Leslie has a different story and earlier this week she told Sky News she "had no idea" about Snow's fate, adding, "So I was kind of, like, just as surprised as the rest of the world when the man woke back up again."
