Kodaline have launched a mournful video for their newest single 'Brother' which was released on June 23rd 2017 through B-Unique. It has been produced by Steve Harris and Two Inch Punch, as well as Johnny McDaid of Snow Patrol, with mixing from Spike Stent.
The Dublin band will be releasing their third album soon, the details of which are yet to be announced. We don't even have a title for it just yet! It will follow their second record 'Coming Up for Air', which was released in 2015 and topped the Irish charts - with a number four spot in the UK.
Directed by Stevie Russell, who also did the videos for their previous songs 'Honest', 'High Hopes' and 'All I Want', the new video sees a young boy attending the funeral of what looks to be his elder brother. As depressing as the subject matter may be, the song itself is a rather uplifting number within the melancholic ambience, with lyrics about always being there for one's brother.
Kodaline; who are frontman Steve Garrigan, guitarist Mark Prendergast, bassist Jason Boland and drummer Vinny May; will be performin at London's Omeara on July 3rd 2017 as a one-off event, having recently performed at Glastonbury for the third time in their lives this month. July will see them also playing in Rock Werchter Festival in Belgium, Mad Cool Festivalin Madrid and NOS Alive Festival in Lisbon.
The band's last single release was as the featured artist on Kygo's 2016 hit 'Raging', which appeared on their debut album 'Cloud Nine'.
