Kris Jenner is said to be “shook up” but largely unharmed after she was involved in a nasty car accident near her home in Calabasas, California yesterday afternoon.

TMZ reported that the accident happened on Wednesday (August 3rd), when the driver of a green Prius ran a red light near the 101 Freeway and ploughed into the side of Jenner’s brand new Rolls-Royce that she had purchased only a week ago. The force of the impact was enough to deploy the airbags in Jenner’s vehicle.

The 60 year old reality TV star is said to have broken her wrist in the accident, as her daughters Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian, as well as son-in-law Kanye West and her boyfriend Corey Gamble, rushed out into the street to the scene of the accident to offer support and check whether she was okay.

Paparazzi photographs published in the same report show the four standing with police officers as paramedics treated Kris at the scene, as they didn’t want to risk potential further injury by removing her from the vehicle.

In the aftermath of the accident, the 60 year old matriarch told E! News that she was “shook up” and that her hand “hurts”, but that she is “doing OK”.

The other driver is reported to have suffered similar injuries, and was treated at the scene by paramedics and didn’t have to be taken to hospital.

When early reports of the accident mentioned Kylie Jenner’s name, her fans inundated her Twitter account with questions as to whether she was ok. A few hours later, she updated them and said she wasn’t in the vehicle. “I rushed to the scene to be by her side becuz she was alone,” she tweeted.
