Pregnant star Kristen Bell wants to be knocked unconscious when she gives birth after graphic videos of the delivery process left her terrified.

The actress is feeling nervous as her spring (13) due date approaches, and has decided to request an epidural injection to numb the pain.

She jokes, "I've got nothing to prove (by having a natural birth). I feel like, when I arrive at the hospital, I want a glass of whiskey, I want the epidural in my back and I want to get hit in the face with a baseball bat and wake me up when it's over because I've seen the videos - and it looks terrifying."

Bell also admits she has grown to love her changing shape, telling U.S. talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, "My self-esteem has never been higher."

She adds, "I look in the mirror and I think it's the reverse (of) body dysmorphia, because I can understand what my shape is, but I see Brooke Shields. And it doesn't make a lick of sense, but it's something that the baby's giving me hormonally makes me feel really giggly and happy."

The baby will be the first child for Bell and her funnyman fiance Dax Shepard.
