Production on Kristen Stewart's new film The Big Shoe has been halted due to a lack of funding.
The movie was scheduled to begin filming in Cape Town, South Africa, but executives at the South African Film Fund have pulled out of partially financing the project.
In addition, moviemakers reportedly only received $343,000 (£214,375) of the approximate $2.7 million (£1.7 million) they were supposed to get from bosses at Bankside Films to bankroll the romantic comedy and now the future of the project is in doubt.
The movie was expected to centre on shoe designer Nate, played by Jim Sturgess, who rediscovers his creative edge after meeting shoe model and prostitute Delphi, portrayed by Stewart, who becomes his muse.
The film, due for release next year (15), was also expected to feature Elizabeth Banks.
