Kristen Stewart's Mum Has Attempted To Distance Herself From Quotes Attributed To Her About The Actress' Alleged New Romance With A Woman.
Writer, director and script supervisor Jules Stewart insists she didn't comment on her daughter's private life during her chat with British newspaper reporter Sharon Feinstein and claims her article, which appeared in The Mirror over the weekend (13-14Jun15), is full of inaccuracies.
In the piece, Stewart was quoted as saying, "What's not to be accepting about her (Kristen) now having a girlfriend? She's happy. I've met Kristen's new girlfriend, I like her."
The remark appeared to confirm reports suggesting the Twilight star is bisexual and dating her personal assistant Alicia Cargile.
However, Jules Stewart insists the quote is made up, stating, "I spoke to Sharon Feinstein about my film K-11 that has been put on display in the Hollywood Museum. It's currently there under the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) banner on the third floor. She also asked me about my views on gay rights, which I was happy to express... Never ever did we discuss Kristen!"
Jules acknowledges she did talk about Cargile, but simply told the reporter she was a lovely girl, and never suggested she was dating her daughter.
But Feinstein is adamant she did not misquote Stewart, tweeting, "I intend to load my tape of the interview I did with Kristen Stewart's mother Jules in two clips. Watch this space."
