Kristen Stewart could be ousted from the key Twilight promotional dates in favor of co-star Ashley Greene. As a result of Stewart's affair with Rupert Sanders and subsequent breakup from Robert Pattinson, executives at Summit Entertainment are planning an alternative promo tour, reports the New York Post.
At the moment, the studio is hoping Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart patch up their differences before November, though should they not get back together, a different strategy will be used. One source said, "The studio's holding out to see if they get back together. But I don't think anyone is banking on that happening. At this point, the press strategy would have been mapped out. It's usually very organized, but at this time it's undecided". With only two months to go until the key premieres for Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2, it seems actress Ashley Greene may be brought in to play a more prominent role in proceedings, ie. Walk the red carpet with Pattinson. Greene is certainly a rising star in Hollywood, and her most recent movie 'The Apparition' beat 'The Bourne Legacy' and 'The Campaign' last weekend on per-screen averages. Summit can also rely on big-names such as Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz and Dakota Fanning to ensure the premieres boast star-power.
Though the studio said it won't comment the personal lives of its stars, one spokesperson said, "We are confident the film delivers amazing entertainment for our passionate fans and general audience alike".
