Actress Kristin Davis is backing Oxfam's new Mother's Day campaign in a bid to provide mums in developing countries with the tools they need for family life.
The Sex and the City star serves as an ambassador for the anti-poverty organisation, and she is highlighting the Oxfam America Unwrapped initiative.
The scheme allows participants to buy items such as mosquito nets and water purifiers to be sent to third world women in recognition of America's Mother's Day, which falls on Sunday (13May12).
Davis says, "The mothers we know and love deserve more than one day of praise for the incredible contribution they make toward improving our world. This year, give the mom in your life a gift that will continue changing lives for years to come."
Davis became a first-time mother last year (11) when she adopted a baby girl called Gemma Rose as a single parent.
