KT Tunstall would feel like a "w****r" if she had her gold discs on display.

The '(Still a) Weirdo' singer - whose debut album 'Eye to the Telescope' sold more than four million copies worldwide - admitted while she is proud of her achievements in the music industry, she hides her trophies in a cupboard because she's too embarrassed to show them off.

She explained: "My gold discs are hidden in a cupboard up in Scotland. I just can't put them out. I'd feel such a champion w****r. I'm really glad I've got them and proud of my achievements, but I don't find gold discs inspiring.

"Maybe I'll change my mind one day and have a bog that's just all discs. But not yet."

KT's 2005 single 'Suddenly I See' was used by Hillary Clinton in her 2008 presidential campaign, but the 35-year-old hitmaker found being involved with the politician "dodgy".

She added to Q magazine: "She had a competition among her supporters to see what music they wanted, and they chose that. But it's dodgy being involved with these things, particularly at the beginning of someone's potential presidential career, because they can go and royally f**k it up, and you become the soundtrack.

"I'd prefer to be the song that's played when they leave office and they've been brilliant."
