Australian pop superstar Kylie Minogue is surprised to be celebrating her 25th anniversary in music, because she presumed she would be a "one-hit wonder".
The Spinning Around hitmaker moved into music in 1988, after several years acting in Aussie soap Neighbours, and has gone on to score 11 hit albums and sell out arenas around the world.
However, Minogue is still coming to terms with her huge success over four decades as she thought her singing career wouldn't go the distance.
She tells Britain's Daily Express, "I never thought I would have a 25-year singing career. When I first started singing I was acting and thought that singing would just be another string to my bow.
"Cut to actually releasing the single - I think it was seen as a kind of one-off, a novelty. I'm sure that in most people's minds and I think even in my own I was meant to be a one-hit wonder."
