Lady Gaga Was Told To Get A Nose Job When She Started In Music

Lady GaGa Bradley Cooper

Lady GaGa has revealed that she was advised to “get a nose job” when she first started out in the music industry.

Speaking to Sky News on the red carpet of the London premiere of her new film A Star Is Born, the pop star – real name Stefani Germanotta - said: “I was told when I was first starting out that I should get a nose job, but I didn't because I wanted to be who I was.”

She drew on some of that experience to play the part of her character Ally in the new film, but knew that she had to differentiate her real-life lessons and the requirements of the performance.

Lady Gaga Addresses The Reason Why Her Joint Tour With Kanye West Fell Through

Lady GaGa Kanye West

The pair were set to embark on their 'Fame Kills' tour beginning in November 2009 and taking them to January 2010, but the dates ended up being cancelled shortly after tickets went on sale. Many suspected it had something to do with the controversy surrounding Kanye interrupting Taylor Swift's MTV VMA acceptance speech, but Gaga says it was more personal than that.

Is This The Worst Lady Gaga Waxwork In The World?

Lady GaGa

The world is not short of terrible wax figures of celebrities by any means, but the latest sculpture of Lady GaGa has the internet outraged by its quality - or lack thereof. It is certainly unrecognisable, as well as unflattering and not very well-proportioned either. But at least it's not Madame Tussauds.

Lady Gaga at Toronto International Film FestivalLady Gaga at Toronto International Film Festival

Whatever wax sculptors were trying to achieve with this conception of Lady Gaga in her 2010 MTV VMAs meat dress get-up, they failed miserably. Images have surfaced of the new statue, which stands at a museum in Lima, Peru, with a straggly white wig, an overly angular face and a bad make-up job - not to mention the fact that one arm looks wider than the other, though that could just be the angle of the photo that has gone viral.

Thousands of her loyal fans, dubbed ‘Monsters’ collectively, flocked to the Canadian city to see her perform on her Joanne world tour on Monday night (September 4th). Unfortunately, Gaga informed them shortly beforehand that she was too ill to play that night, having gotten sick with laryngitis while performing in the rain in New York City a few days before.

“To my beautiful fans. I couldn’t be more devastated that I am unable to perform tonight,” she wrote on Twitter. “I sing this entire show live, and pride myself on giving it all, but when I sang in the rain at Citi Field I got sick and have been pushing through.”
