Lady GaGa absolutely slayed it with her David Bowie tribute performance at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards last night (February 15th 2016), singing a medley of some of his best tunes absolutely flawlessly all while dressed from head to toe in a dramatic, Bowie-esque ensemble.

In what was probably one of the most impassioned performances of her entire career so far, Gaga delivered a fitting tribute to the late singing legend, who passed away after a long struggle with cancer in January this year, following the release of his album 'Blackstar'.

She donned a red cropped 'do and a white suit bedecked with feather boas as she pulled off some Bowie style choreography, channeling the rockstar to perfection. She even treated the audience to some keyboard playing of her own, on an instrument that moved with robotic legs.

There was a jarring masculinity about her performance that juxtaposed her usual elegance rather strangely, but that added an androgynous effect that made the show so spot on given Bowie's history of gender-bending antics. Nile Rodgers made an appearance towards the end of the medley on the guitar, as Gaga blended into 'Let's Dance' and 'Heroes'.

The other songs she gave a nod to were the hits 'Space Oddity', 'Changes, 'Ziggy Stardust', 'Suffragette City', 'Rebel Rebel', 'Fashion', 'Fame' and 'Under Pressure'.

That wasn't the only David Bowie tribute Lady Gaga made this year, however. She recently unveiled a brand new tattoo via Twitter, featuring the singer's head on her left side in an image of the 'Aladdin Sane' album cover.

And while her Grammy performance has clearly been a success, it only follows the successes she's achieved so far in 2016; her Golden Globe win for 'American Horror Story' and her excellently received rendition of 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at the Super Bowl 50.
