The new music video ties in with the documentary 'The Hunting Ground', released back in January this year.
Lady GaGa has today released a brand new music video in support of a documentary film The Hunting Ground that was released earlier this year, which looked at the problem surrounding rape and sexual assault on university campuses.
The new song, released on Friday (September 18th), is titled ‘’Til It Happens to You’, and was co-written with the Canadian artist and songwriter Diane Warren. Some of the proceeds of the new track will be donated to organisations working with survivors of sexual assault.
The five-minute clip, which Gaga shared on social media, features distressing imagery and at one point depicts two women being drugged and attacked at a college party. Mainly, it focusses on women who have experienced different ordeals and how they cope with them.

It was directed by Catherine Hardwicke, who helmed the first Twilight movie, and the clip ends with the message “One in five college women will be sexually assaulted this year unless something changes.”

Warren, the co-writer, told Billboard earlier this year about how she came to work with Gaga on the song. “I heard about [the film] and it just really touched me, and she had stuff in her life that she could relate to. Gaga is one of the most talented artists I have worked with in my life and I'm excited about doing more with her.”
Earlier in 2015, Gaga – who has previously revealed that she herself was a victim of sexual assault at the age of 19, ten years ago – wrote an open letter, co-signed by New York governor Andrew Cuomo, urging authorities to tackle the “epidemic of sexual violence” on American campuses.
