Lady GaGa released her special festive EP 'A Very Gaga Holiday' following a 90-minute Thanksgiving special on ABC last night (24 November, 2011). The show, titled 'A Very Gaga Thanksgiving' was conceived and directed by the star herself and featured a live duet with Tony Bennett.
Gaga and the legendary crooner opened the show with a rendition of 'The Lady is A Tramp', which appears on Bennett's latest Duets II album and Gaga shared a surprising story about her time working with the jazz star. The 25-year-old singer told how Bennett had sketched her in the nude while they worked together, saying, "I walked in and said.well Tony here we are.and I dropped my robe and I got into position. I felt shy and thought It's Tony Bennett, why am I naked?". The drawings are set to appear in Vanity Fair magazine next year. Later in the evening, Gaga performed her latest tracks Edge of Glory, Born This Way and Marry The Night, before discussing her phenomenal rise to fame and catalogue of hits. During the interview, conducted by Katie Couric, Gaga explained she wouldn't be speaking about her personal life, saying, "My love life is the only thing I don't talk about. The day I get married no matter how many helicopters are flying over that chapel they are not getting one picture".
It seems as though Gaga is certainly getting into the festive mood - she officially opened her workshop at Barneys in New York this week, selling limited edition Christmas products in aid of her Born This Way foundation.
