Gaga's performance is planned for the dawn of the third day of the three day festival, which will be held at New Mexico's Spaceport America and is promised to be "like nothing the world has seen before."
However, Gaga won't just have to pick out her outfit and run through her scales shortly before her space gig."She has to do a month of vocal training because of the atmosphere," a source said, adding "Gaga has taken out a ridiculous life insurance policy!"

Lady Gaga strives to push boundaries in pop music and fashion but now she'll be exploring uncharted territory unreachable to most humans. The festival will take place about six months after the first planned Virgin Galactic spaceflight which will take small numbers of passengers 62 miles straight up into the outer edges of the Earth's atmosphere to marvel at the sights of the universe before flying back down to land.

An A-list list of stars including Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks and Justin Bieber have already booked their seats on the shuttle's maiden voyages, forking out $250,000 each for the privilege. The craft they will fly in, SpaceShipTwo, was unveiled in the Mojave Desert in California in 2009.
Many of the passengers who've booked their flights early have visited Sir Richard Branson's Necker Island to complete G-force training, according to The Daily Mail.
