Lady GaGa, Demi Moore And Susan Sarandon Are Among The Stars Who Have Heaped Praise On Bruce Jenner For Debuting His New Female Persona On The Cover Of Vanity Fair Magazine.
The former Olympian-turned-reality TV star unveiled his new look as Caitlyn Jenner on Monday (01Jun15), when Vanity Fair bosses shared the cover image online, weeks after Kim Kardashian's stepfather went public with his gender identity struggles in a candid interview with U.S. newswoman Diane Sawyer.
Jenner also launched new Twitter and Facebook pages to celebrate the big magazine reveal, and she was inundated with messages of support as soon as the cover hit the Internet.
Taking to Twitter.com, Lady GaGa, who previously applauded Jenner for sharing the news of his transition, writes, "Caitlyn, thanku (sic) for being a part of all our lives & using your platform to change people's minds... The beauty on the inside is now also on the outside. God bless you and the whole family for sharing it with us."
Actress Moore tweets, "Thank you @Caitlyn_Jenner for sharing the gift of your beautiful authentic self inside and out!" and Susan Sarandon posts, "Congratulations @Caitlyn_Jenner on your rebirth. You've inspired so much intelligent dialogue and courage."
Scandal star Kerry Washington gushes, "CAITLYN!!!!!!!!!! Love this. So happy for her", while Girls creator Lena Dunham jokes, "I just want Caitlyn Jenner to take me out and teach me how to drive a stick shift in heels."
Jenner's family members have also expressed their support on social media, with Kim Kardashian tweeting, "Be happy, be proud, live life YOUR way!" and model daughter Kendall Jenner posting, "Now that's a cover... Be free now pretty bird".
Other stars tweeting early praise for Jenner include Rosie O'Donnell, Ellen DeGeneres, Kat Dennings, Jenny MCCarthy, Sam Smith, Alyssa Milano and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.
