Family & Friends Worried As Lamar Odom Has Been Missing For 3 Days!

Lamar Odom's drug addiction was recently aired out by his disgruntled wife Khloe Kardashian, who admitted that her NBA star husband has been battling an addiction to a cocktail of recreational drugs for the past two years or so. After seemingly winning the battle against his demons after a short stay in rehab last year, Odom reverted back to his old ways at the end of the last NBA season, with things gradually getting worse and worse for the star and those in his life.

Lamar's drug problem is apparently getting out of hand

According to a report from TMZ, the Clippers star has been off the grid for around three days now and those close to him are extremely concerned about his safety and well-being. The main concern is that his disappearance is related to his ongoing problems with drugs, which may have exceeded the point of recreational use with some 'less' harmful narcotics, and morphed into a full-blown addiction to some serious substances. In particular, it is assumed that Lamar has developed a taste for the highly addictive and damaging crack cocaine, which he may currently be gorging on during his mysterious, unannounced leave.

On Sunday (25 August), which was day three of Lamar's absence, a representative for the b-baller claimed that he is doing fine and in no danger, although he wouldn't disclose the whereabouts of his client. This kind of furthered the point that Lamar is probably in trouble and he needs help.

In 2012, Khloe forced her husband to check into a San Diego rehabilitation facility to battle his demons, but the reluctant star left after only three weeks. Although he seemed to have left his addictions behind at the rehab centre, going on to complete a (presumably) drug free season with the Clippers, Lamar soon fell into his bad habits and began experimenting with drugs again. His addiction put severe strain on his marriage with the Kardashian and last week he was spotted leaving their home with a number of suitcases - although neither have contacted their lawyers yet to arrange divorce proceedings.

With their marriage being held together by a single thread at the moment, Lamar's runaway could be the final nail in the coffin for the Odom-Kardashian marriage. Although, with the claim from a source close to Khloe that she is "more concerned about saving Lamar than ending her marriage," his absence could be the call for help that both he and his marriage need to bring it back from the brink.
