Billed as a "Biblical story of sin and redemption," Tropico sees Del Rey assume an Eve character who is transported to a dingy modern day setting with Adam when she takes a bite of the forbidden fruit whilst she sings 'Body Electric.'

In the grimy real world, Del Rey is a stripper whilst her man is a bored convenience store owner. "I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness," Lana's voiceover says whilst she dances for men in suits. The scene descends into a terrifying robbery and we hear two more songs 'Gods and Monsters' and 'Bel Air' before the dramatic climax that Billboard describes as "captivating" and "pure bliss."
