After Majin Buu's spectacular defeat, it would seem that the world and, indeed, the universe is safe once again. However, a new threat arises in the form of formidable God of Destruction Beerus. He learns with relish that a galactic ruler named Frieza has been overwhelmingly defeated by a Super Saiyan warrior named Goku and decides to embark on a hunt to cement his place as one of the most unconquerable lords of the universe by killing him. The Z fighters understand that Beerus' presence threatens their very existence and they must help Goku prepare to defend the Earth - an act that, if successful, could transform him into a Super Saiyan God. Will the Z fighters manage to protect themselves from planetary destruction? Or have they finally met their match?
