Penning an essay titled 'The Routine Abuse of Women Must Stop', Whitmore revealed she was groped by a stranger in a nightclub last year.
TV presenter and former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant Laura Whitmore has revealed that she was sexually assaulted last year, while in a nightclub with her friends.
The 32 year old star made the revelation in an essay penned for Irish publication Hot Press on Wednesday evening (April 11th) titled ‘The Routine Abuse of Women Must Stop’. In it, she said that she had hesitated about coming forward at the time because she was “scared” about “what people might say”.
“Last year I was in a club with my friends and I could feel a hand on the back of my leg,” she wrote. “As I turned, I saw it was a guy who I did not know. He was laughing.”

The TV presenter was paired with Pernice on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
A source had claimed to MailOnine that the TV presenter had been feuding with Pernice during their time competing on the BBC show, and that she had ‘bullied’ him with abusive text messages.
But responding on Twitter, Whitmore called the allegations ‘lies’.

The Fun Lovin' Criminals frontman did 'a Preston.'
What is it about BBC comedy panel show Never Mind The Buzzcocks that gets all up in the grill of certain celebrity guests? Since 1996, the show has earned a reputation for childish humour and ribbing its celebs to the nth degree. Anyone without an ego of iron or the ability to laugh at themselves simply shouldn't agree to be a guest.
Huey Morgan Took Out His Rage On A Mug.
Yet once more we've seen a celebrity who couldn't handle the music show's immature quiz rounds and jokes. Huey Morgan, frontman of rock and hip hop band Fun Lovin' Criminals, was tipped over the edge during the latest aired Buzzcocks. Morgan, 45, has appeared as a panel member on the show several times before as well as even a guest host once: he should have known the score.
This Is Us, the film documenting the rise of One Direction from X-Factor contestants to an international pop sensation, premiered in London on Tuesday (20th August). In addition to the band and X-Factor's Simon Cowell, the guests included Little Mix, Ronnie Wood, Ulrika Jonsson and Laura Whitmore.

Cara Delevingne joined her best pal Rita Ora on-stage at the DKNY Art Works party, which the Burberry model hosted on Wednesday night (June 12, 2013). Iggy Azalea and Wretch 32 had entertained the crowds at the Old Firestation on Lambeth High Street, though it was Rita's duet with Cara that really raised the roof.
Cara showed off her dance moves and rapping skills on a rendition of Notorious BIG's 'Juicy' - and, well, they weren't half bad. The model wore a black jumpsuit with elaborate jewellery and high top sneakers, while pal Rita opted for a blue and black top with black skirt.

Awards shows are fun not only to see who wins each award, but also to see what the stars are wearing down the red carpet. We common folk may not be able to purchase the very same, but we can damn sure try to get close. This year's BAFTAS seem to make replicating red carpet styles easier than normal as it seems simplicity is key, and black is best.
The staple of every woman's wardrobe, the solid, stable and dependable LBD (little black dress) has been transformed. No longer little, these gowns hit the floor in a flourish of appropriate drama. X Factor's Caroline Flack turned up in a fairly understated gown, figure hugging in all the right places, with simple lines, the whole outfit is set off by the sheer lace long sleeves which turn what could have been a boring dress into something beautiful.
Laura Whitmore is rocking a jumpsuit with a slit down the front, and long sleeves, bridging the often difficult gap between sexy and sophisticated. She has accessorized her simple elegance with chunky gold cuffs and bright red lipstick. Zoe Ball's shiny dress is certainly the most unusual of the evening, but it fits her perfectly and she needs nothing but a great pair of earrings, a statement pair of rings and a what looks like an effortless hair style to make it work for her.
