Teenage country star Lauren Alaina took time out of her busy schedule to attend her senior prom on Saturday (23Mar13).

The former American Idol star was accompanied to the high school dance by her boyfriend Alex, and her mother, Kristy Suddeth, uploaded photos of the singer getting ready for the special occasion throughout the day on Twitter.com.

Documenting their mother-and-daughter trip to the salon, she posted images of the singer's leopard print nails, smokey eye makeup and fancy updo, as well as shots of her towering high heels, writing, "I bet she kicks her shoes off in the first five minutes after arriving to the prom!"

Suddeth also uploaded pictures of the 18 year old, clad in a black and silver gown, posing with her father, smiling with her date, and kissing her friend Jerrica on the cheek.

When asked on Sunday (24Mar13) if the star enjoyed her big night, she tweeted, "she had a great time!"
