Orange Is The New Black Season 4 Trailer and Clips Trailer

Litchfield is getting overcrowded with no less than a hundred new inmates getting crammed into the place. Plus, it's not getting any easier for Piper Chapman, who already feels like she's in danger of serious harm most of the time. Now she's got a new enemy within the walls of the Litch who is intent burying her. She may only have a short sentence compared with some of the other inmates, and maybe she's a lot more educated than most of them, but none of that has helped her out yet. There's a new prison guard at the facility too, who is really not getting on well with the female inmates. Meanwhile, Sophia Burset is having a hard time as the only transgender woman on the site, which has always put her as a target for transphobic cattiness but now more so than ever. She's even the victim of a violent attack, and the prejudice threatens her hairstyling business.

Queen frontman Adam Lambert is set to perform 'Hot Patootie' in the new showing, taking over Meat Loaf's original role as the leather-clad, motorcycle-riding ex-delivery boy Eddie. If you remember the 1975 cult movie, you'll know that things don't end well for this sexy reprobate, who is also the one-time lover of Dr. Frank-N-Furter and his groupie Columbia as well as a partial brain donor to Frank's creation Rocky.

Jennifer Hudson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley And Laverne Cox: The Best Dressed Ladies Of The 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards

Jennifer Hudson Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Laverne Cox Beyonce Knowles

It was the fashion Oscars last night (June 6th 2016) at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York; the CFDA Fashion Awards presented a host of the most glamorous women in showbusiness as it announced the designers and icons who have bagged prizes this year.

Jennifer HudsonJennifer Hudson gave some Red Queen glamour

Of course, it was Beyonce who landed the coveted Fashion Icon Award by the Council of Fashion Designers of America and indeed she showed off her talents in the wardrobe department by eschewing the traditional red carpet gown in favour of a striped pant-suit and an enormous brimmed hat (kind of like a cross between Beetlejuice and Winona Ryder in the same film). Bey-utiful. It's just as well she opted for something a little different given that her contemporaries were especially difficult to beat; Jennifer Hudson showed off her enviable curves in a black and red Prabal Gurung piece that was more reminiscent of the Red Queen.

Fox will be airing Rocky Reborn (not an official title) on Halloween, appropriately, which will make it quite the perfect end to an evening of trick-or-treating. It has to be said, Laverne Cox pretty much nails the voice of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, and Reeve Carney of 'Penny Dreadful' isn't far off with his ghostly Riff Raff either. We also get a glimpse of 'Victorious' star Victoria Justice as Janet Weiss and 'Liv and Maddie' actor Ryan McCartan as her geeky fiance Brad Majors.

Excellent

The fabulous Lily Tomlin finally gets the lead role she deserves in this smart, engaging comedy-drama. Like her title character, the film itself refuses to play nice, tackling big issues like abortion and the strain between mothers and daughters without ever simplifying the topics or the people involved. The plot may feel a bit contrived, and the entire movie rather lightweight, but it's thoroughly entertaining. And the subtle approach to the big themes gives it a strong kick.

Tomlin plays Elle, a mature woman who has just broken up with her girlfriend Olivia (Judy Greer) for no real reason. Then her young granddaughter Sage (Julia Garner) turns up asking for money to terminate her pregnancy. Elle doesn't have the cash, but offers to help her find it, so they head off into Los Angeles in her rattling 1955 Dodge, visiting the unborn baby's stoner father (Nat Wolff) and some of Elle's colourful old friends (Elizabeth Pena, Laverne Cox and Sam Elliott). But both Elle and Sage are terrified that they might ultimately need to get in contact with Sage's workaholic mother Judy (Marcia Gay Harden), the daughter Elle never knew how to talk to.

The layers of mother-daughter interaction in this film are fascinating, and played with riotously jagged chemistry by the gifted cast. Tomlin punches every witty one-liner perfectly, capturing Elle's life-loving spirit and also her weary exhaustion at the way the world keeps changing around her. Tomlin finds terrific angles in each of Elle's relationships, drawing out Garner's wide-eyed yearning, Greer's steeliness and Harden's professional bluster. Each of the side roles feels like a fully formed person with a life of his or her own, which gives context to the humour and makes the entire film feel more weighty and meaningful.
