Orange Is The New Black star Laverne Cox has inked a deal to release her autobiography.
The actress, who plays Sophia Burset in the hit Netflix comedy, has signed a contract with publisher Harlequin to tell her life story about growing up transgender and her advocacy for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (Lgbt) organisations.
Editor Rebecca Hunt praises Cox's project in a statement that reads: "Laverne Cox is a powerful, accomplished actress and a beacon of hope to countless people of all ages around the world. The story of her life to this point is nothing short of an inspiration."
The book is slated to hit shelves in 2015.
