The actress says she and her co-star had a strained relationship during the filming of the Fox series.
Naya Rivera’s memoir Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes, and Growing Up contains many juicy revelations from the actress, but one that’s certainly set to interest ‘Glee’ fans concerns her strained relationship with co-star Lea Michele.
Naya Rivera has said she and Lea Michele didn't always see eye-to-eye on ‘Glee’
"I don't hate Lea, and I never have," Rivera writes in the book. "We are both strong-willed and competitive — and that's not a good mixture. When two people with strong personalities are friends, they're eventually going to clash.

The 29 year old star of ‘Scream Queens’ and sometime pop singer took part in the magazine’s Naked Issue, due to hit newsstands on August 3rd, and stripped off for the cover shoot. The tiny decoration on her left buttock cheek reads simply ‘Finn’, the name of Monteith’s character from the long-running show 'Glee'.
This is an incidence of real life reflecting TV and vice-versa, as Michele’s character Rachel on ‘Glee’ also dated Monteith’s Finn and boasted a similar tattoo on the show.

Michele was in a relationship with her former 'Glee' co-star Monteith when he died in July 2013.
Michele showed off two new inkings she’s received with a couple of pictures on Twitter on Tuesday (April 12th). The first, of a coffee cup on the outside of her ring finger, was in memory of her grandmother, who passed away late last week. “For you Grandma.. I love you forever,” the caption read.
The second was in honour of her ‘Glee’ co-star and real-life former boyfriend Monteith who died in July 2013, was of the number five – a reference to the jersey number worn by his character Finn Hudson on the show. “And one more for my quarterback,” she wrote.
The hit show was sued by The Glee Club, a chain of UK comedy clubs with the same name.
US show ‘Glee’ could soon be renamed in the UK after Twentieth Century Fox lost the latest round in their legal battle with a British comedy club of the same name. Mark Tughan, who owns The Glee Club chain, first filed a lawsuit against Fox in 2011, arguing that customers were being put off attending his clubs because they associated them with the hit US show.
‘Glee’ could be forced to rename in the UK.
Tughan had first trademarked The Glee Club name in the UK in 1999, a decade before ‘Glee’ first aired in Britain. In his original lawsuit Tughan argued: “The similarity of the names and branding in the same field of entertainment services has led to us losing custom and hampered our ability to establish our brand of cutting edge live comedy.”

Critics haven't enjoyed this kiddies' reboot of the classic 'Wizard of Oz.'
Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return is released today in the USA, giving American families a new look at the classic tale of Dorothy,Toto, Kansas and the magical land of Oz in an exciting new animated take. Glee star Lea Michele takes the lead, voicing the sparkly-shoed heroine whilst Dan Aykroyd plays the Scarecrow, Kelsey Grammer is the Tin Man and Jim Belushi voices the not-so-cowardly lion.
Lea Michele Plays Dorothy In The Poorly-Received 'Legends Of Oz: Dorothy's Return.'
The movie is an adventure aimed at the youngest of cinemagoers but even so, critics have found fault with Legends of Oz at the most basic of levels. Directed by Will Finn ('The Road to El Dorado') and Dan St. Pierre ('Quantum Quest: A Cassini Space Odyssey') and with Bryan Adams scoring, the film should have had all the makings of greatness but instead falls short with a mediocre plotline and decidedly second-rate animation.
A representative stepped in to debunk the speculation.
What on earth is going on between Naya Rivera and Glee? On Wednesday, multiple reports, notably by The New York Daily News and Us Weekly, claimed that Rivera had been axed from Glee ahead of the season finale, because of disagreements with the producers and co-star Lea Michele. More recently however, several different websites have come out, citing the actress’ rep as saying that the rumors are untrue."Any reports or rumors circulating that Naya Rivera was let go or fired from Glee are absolutely untrue. End of story," the rep told The Hollywood Reporter.
So is Rivera leaving Glee or not?
In April, Us Weekly reported on an alleged on-set conflict between Rivera and Michele.

Lea Michele's latest video features sun, sand and skin in abundance.
Lea Michele is moving along with her music career outside of Glee and it looks like she hasn’t escaped Hollywood’s constant pull towards a sexier image. Over the weekend, the Glee star got pap-ed on the set of her upcoming video for On My Way. While the plot of the video is still unclear, the photos make it obvious that the video will include a lot of California sun, some cool desert shots, a vintage Ford Mustang and of course, Michele herself, wearing a number of different bikinis.

Because nothing says young and free like a bunch of bikinis, of course. The shoot was set in the desert outside of Palmdale California and the photos, published by MTV, show the Glee actress frolicking around in a black bathing suit, some kind of knit shawl and ankle boots – which is what any sane person would wear on a sunny drive out to the desert, right?

And I decided to get a tattoo because it was the most shocking thing I could think of doing." Seems Helen was always ahead of her time.

Jane Lynch honors her friend and co-star.
Cory Monteith has been given a send-off by fans and the TV industry who honored the late Glee star with a heartfelt and poignant tribute during last night's Emmy awards. Some argue the 31 year-old's career wasn't long or illustrious enough to warrant Emmy's tribute.
Few would argue that the death of Glee actor Cory Monteith was not one of the most high profile, widely publicised celebrity losses of the year. The 31 year-old star was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room back in July after what was found to be an overdose involving a deadly cocktail of heroin and alcohol. Monteith enjoyed a relatively short but bright career as one of the TV show's central characters whose on screen relationship with Lea Michele mirrored their real lives.
Cory Monteith's Death Came As A Shock To Many.
Tributes still flood in for the star, the cast and crew are said to be devastated and Michele has barely been seen in public since: Cory's absence left a deep wound. Therefore it was probably fitting that this year's 65th Emmy Awards would make the decision to include a special tribute to Monteith in their annual 'In Memoriam' section ahead of Glee's official tribute episode when the new series starts airing next month.
Jane Lynch says the Cory Monteith tribute will be difficult to film, though called it "beautiful."
It appears as though Glee creator Ryan Murphy has given the late Cory Monteith a fitting tribute, despite speculation that writers would use the actor's death to warn of the dangers of drug addiction.
Of course, the show is likely to address that issue following the death of one of its biggest stars, though it appears the planned memorial episode will remember Monteith for the talent he was.
Jane Lynch, who plays sports coach Sue Sylvester on the show, tweeted: "Just read Cory Monteith memorial episode. Most beautiful thing. Thank you, @MrRPMurphy @BFalchuk Ian Brennan."

'Glee' star Lea Michele has taken to Twitter for the first time since the death of her boyfriend and co-star Cory Monteith.
If fans and co-stars were devastated by the news of the death of Glee actor Cory Monteith, AKA Finn Hudson, after a confirmed drugs overdose, it's hard to imagine how his girlfriend and long-term friend Lea Michele could be feeling. Monteith was found dead on 13th July after he failed to check out of a Vancouver hotel room after a night out with friends. Although an initial autopsy doubted substance abuse, a following toxicology report confirmed his death was a result of a deadly cocktail of heroin and alcohol.
Lea Michele: Breaking Through Her Grief To Thank Fans.
Monteith's death came out of the blue and, despite entering and leaving rehab to get clean earlier this year, it seems drugs got the better of the talented actor and singer. He and Michele had been dating for a year in a romance that mirrored the on-screen love of their characters.
Cory Monteith's autopsy confirms that the actor struggled with substance abuse.
Cory Monteith, the Canadian actor best known for playing Finn Hudson on Fox's hit television show Glee, died from a heroin and alcohol overdose, according to a coroner's report. Initially, police in Vancouver said it was unlikely that the tragic death was the result of substance abuse, though the evidence suggests otherwise.
The British Columbia Coroner's Service confirmed the actor's cause of death late on Tuesday (July 16, 2013) after conducting an autopsy and toxicology test. A statement said: "There is no evidence at this time to suggest Monteith's death was anything other than a most tragic accident."
An article by entertainment gossip site TMZ.com this week suggested Monteith - who dated Glee co-star Lea Michele - lived a 'double life' between Los Angeles and Vancouver. Sources tell the site that Cory "became a drug addict with a serious drinking problem" when he returned to his native Canada, hanging "out with many of the friends who helped fuel his addiction."

Police have said Glee star Cory Monteith's death was probably not caused by substance abuse following Monday's post-mortem.
Cory Monteith, according to Glee director Adam Shankman, "was doing amazing" before being discovered dead in a Vancouver hotel room just after midday on Saturday (13th July). Initial reports of the death included details of Monteith's previous rehab stays for substance abuse, raising questions whether drugs could have had a connection with the 31 year-old's death.

It was a major 'Glee' fest at the 2013 Fox Upfront Presentation with appearances on the red carpet from the musical TV show's stars including Chris Colfer, Lea Michele and Jane Lynch. The annual television network event was held at the Woolman Rink in New York City.
The network's decision to renew one of its most popular productions comes as no surprise.
Fox’s musical dramedy series Glee has been renewed and will join returning shows like Bones and The Following on the network’s roster. Not only that, but Glee has been renewed for a fifth and sixth season, meaning we can expect the Lea Michele starrer back in 2014 as well. "Glee debuted as the first and only successful musical comedy series on television, and more than four years later, it continues to defy genres, break new ground and have a significant impact on popular culture,” Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly said in a statement announcing the news on Friday. “Week in and week out, Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan, Dante DiLoreto and the entire Glee team deliver a series that not only delights and surprises fans, but also inspires them to talk about, share, debate and engage with the show - and I’m absolutely thrilled to have them on board for another two seasons.”
Back in January, Reilly dropped a hint that the network might be renewing Glee for more than one season, by saying: "We're going to negotiate now for the fifth season and beyond."
The decision makes sense for Fox, since Glee – as loved and hated by audiences as it may be – is one of the network’s top performers in terms of ratings. It has performed especially well in its new Thursday 9PM slot and the writers have covered topics oriented toward a more mature audience, like in last week’s school shooting themed episode. It will be interesting what direction the writing team decide to take now, with the possibility of developing story arcs over the next two seasons.
Taylor Swift and The Wanted were undoubtedly the biggest names to take home People's Choice Awards last night at the 39th annual version of the event. Taking place in Los Angeles, the ceremony was also notable for other guests including Paris Hilton, Julianne Hough, Naomi Watts and Lea Michele. The entirely fan-voted for awards saw Taylor Swift take home the Favorite Country Artist gong, though she once again found herself in a 'Kanye' situation as Olivia Munn initially refused to give her the statuette. It was all for play though, with Swift laughing "Oh God... this always happens!"
Rachel and Finn have had a very tumultuous relationship in Glee, to say the least. But in real life the actors who play both those characters have a dream-like relationship.
Lea Michele (Rachel) and Cora Monteith (Finn) have been dating for months but they only unveiled the news publicly on Ellen, to its host Ellen Degeneres. Ellen asked him about 'Monchele' and what it means. He replied "Well, of course I know what Monchele is... it's Monteith and Michele... Yeah [we are a couple]." The news of which inspired the audience to scream their approval.
Despite both looking as though they're in high school, like their famous Glee characters, Michele is in fact 26 while Cory is 30, and it's right about time for a grown-up relationship. Michele is gracing the cover of Marie Claire this month in which she has spoken about her relationship with Cory. "I don't even remember a time when he wasn't my boyfriend. No one knows me better than Cory," quotes NY Daily News. "No one knows what it's been like to go through this more than he does. Feeling like you have that net underneath you allows you to jump higher and go farther... He makes me feel like I can do anything. For the first time in my life, I feel really, really settled and happy. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world."

We’ve all seen Lea Michele belting them out as one of the main stars of hit musical drama Glee, but now the actress is planning on proving that she can do it as a standalone artist. That’s right, the star has revealed via Twitter that she is going to be preparing her debut album for release!
Taking to the social networking site, Michele wrote "Just had a very exciting music meeting and am proud to announce that im officially on the road to making my first album! I'm so excited!" Following up, she added "There's so much to be thankful for right now. Feeling so blessed and thankful. And I couldn't do it without all of you! Love you guys!"
Michele’s singing has been among the highlights of Glee during its three season run, and the announcement comes just as the fourth is beginning.
