The 27 year-old finally came clean on dating her ‘Glee’ co-star, but their fling was very short and happened while the two starred on Broadway.
Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison were an item back in 2010, even though they both have denied this in the past.
The revelation comes in an excerpt from the 27 year-old actress' new memoir 'Brunette Ambition.'
"When we shot the [Glee] pilot, I met Cory Monteith, Kevin McHale, Amber Riley and Chris Colfer for the first time," Michele wrote.
Adding, "I had worked on Broadway with Jenna Ushkowitz and Matthew Morrison before. Matt had been a friend of mine for years, and in fact we'd actually dated back in the day for a Broadway beat."
The two TV stars squashed rumors that they were dating in several interviews in the past, with the first coming in 2010 when Michele spoke to Hollywood.com.
"I've known Matt for years. He's been a friend of mine from New York. People are going to make things up. I think it's just because we really are so close," she tried to explain.
Later in the same year, Morrison tried to cover up their relationship when being interviewed with Parade, he said, "We were literally on set and I got a call from my publicist, and she got a call a minute later and we looked at each other like, 'What the f--?' It's so laughable."
Michele famously dated the late 'Glee' star Corey Monteith since early 2012, and earlier this month she tweeted a black and white photograph of herself and Monteith laughing together, to celebrate what would have been his 32nd birthday.
Along with the pic was a heart-warming caption that read, "The biggest heart and most beautiful smile.. In all of our hearts.. We love you so. Happy Birthday."
The actor was found dead at noon on Saturday 13th July 2013, when he was staying at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver. The corner lists Monteith's official cause of death as "mixed drug toxicity, involving intravenous heroin use combined with the ingestion of alcohol."
This tragedy is very likely to be featured heavily in her upcoming book 'Brunette Ambition.'
