In the Naked Issue of Women's Health UK magazine, 29 year old Michele stripped off for the front cover and revealed her new tattoo.
The 29 year old star of ‘Scream Queens’ and sometime pop singer took part in the magazine’s Naked Issue, due to hit newsstands on August 3rd, and stripped off for the cover shoot. The tiny decoration on her left buttock cheek reads simply ‘Finn’, the name of Monteith’s character from the long-running show 'Glee'.
This is an incidence of real life reflecting TV and vice-versa, as Michele’s character Rachel on ‘Glee’ also dated Monteith’s Finn and boasted a similar tattoo on the show.
“Right now, I feel physically in my best shape, and emotionally in my best place,” she told the magazine for the feature interview about the loss of her long-term boyfriend, adding, “I'm not perfect. I'm not trying to represent myself as being some perfect girl, but I love myself, flaws and all.”
She has at least one more tattoo she’s gotten to honour the memory of Monteith, who died a little over three years ago at the age of 31. Back in April, she revealed body art of the number five, the number of the jersey number worn by Monteith’s character in ‘Glee’.
Lea Michele revealed a new tattoo in honour of her late boyfriend Cory Monteith
Michele has dated twice since Monteith’s death, but both relationships ended relatively quickly, the last one with her ‘Dimension 404’ co-star Robert Buckley ending less than a month ago. “I have down days,” she admits. “I accept those days as much as the happy ones.”
Back on July 13th, the third anniversary of Monteith’s death from a drug and alcohol overdose, Michele took to Twitter to acknowledge his passing. “I know everyday you’re watching over me, and smiling,” she said wrote. “Love and miss you Cory, everyday, but today a little more.”
