'Inception' star Leonardo Dicaprio discusses his new movie 'The Great Gatsby' directed by Baz Luhrmann. He talks about the impact the original novel had on the world, how he felt reuniting with Baz and the theme of nostalgia in the story.
He describes it as 'the great American novel of the last century'. 'It's intrinsically woven into the fabric of what America is; it's all the ideals and dreams of becoming a great American', he says. He likens Baz to Gatsby himself as someone who wanted to 'create great art in his unique style'. He also says that he didn't feel he could connect to his character of Jay Gatsby in the sense that he's 'delusional' in his feelings of nostalgia.
