The actress says she's taking note of those who didn't offer to dress her for the upcoming premiere.
Actress and comedian Leslie Jones has criticised fashion designers on Twitter after she had trouble finding a dress for the upcoming Ghostbusters premiere. Jones stars in the all-female reboot alongside Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon, which is set for release next month.
Leslie Jones says designers haven't been willing to help her find a dress for the Ghostbusters premiere.
On Twitter Jones wrote: “It’s so funny how there are no designers wanting to help me with a premiere dress for movie. Hmmm that will change and I remember everything.” The comedian did receive a reply from one designer, Christian Siriano, who responded with a clapping emoji.

Jones isn’t the first actress to have trouble finding designers to work with their body shape. Her Ghostbusters co-star Melissa McCarthy has previously spoken on the issue, saying it led her to create her own plus sized clothing line.
“Two Oscars ago, I couldn’t find anybody to do a dress for me. I asked five or six designers — very high-level ones who make lots of dresses for people — and they all said no,” McCarthy told Redbook in 2014.
Bryce Dallas Howard has also faced similar problems and says she now buys her own dresses for the red carpet because designer gowns usually don’t come in a US size 6. The actress finds dresses in stores or online before a big event.

“When you’re not ‘sample’ size, or when you don’t have a direct relationship with a designer, or if you don’t have a lot of notice, those types of size 6 dresses just aren’t that available that much,” Howard said in January. “So, what I found is that if something is sort of last-minute, or I don’t have a good relationship with a place, then I go to Neiman’s, or I get something online.”
