Hip-hop star Lil’ Wayne can officially claim to be better than the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley! Well, in one sense, he can. Lil Wayne is now the male artist with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100. That title was originally held by The King, but according to Billboard’s data, there have now been an impressive total of 109 Lil Wayne songs on the chart, besting Elvis’ own record of 108.

Fittingly, the latest track that nudged Wayne to the top, is a track from The Game, entitled ‘Celebration’ and featuring Lil’ Wayne, alongside Chris Brown, Tyga and Wiz Khalifa. Wayne’s appearance on the track is deemed enough for him to rack up another point in the Billboard entry contest. This great news that – in some little way at least – Lil’ Wayne is ‘better’ than Elvis couldn’t have come at a better time, either, as the rapper celebrates his birthday today (September 27, 2012). Yesterday, he was busy launching the Trukstop Skate Park in his home city of New Orleans. “I just want to help out my city, help out the people and the kids, give them something to do, something they haven’t done before,” he told Associated Press.

Elsewhere, Lil’ Wayne has been causing much hilarity, as a deposition video of his has landed on YouTube, showing him being impressively uncooperative and obnoxious, as he’s questioned in relation to his lawsuit against Quincy Jones III. It makes for pretty funny viewing though, we wouldn’t want to swap places with the poor man trying to interview him.
