It isn't often fans get to see a venerable side to the usually confident Lily Allen, but when the British pop star recently recalled one of the saddest times in her life, when she gave birth to a stillborn, 6 month-old son in 2010, she became very emotional.

Allen became very emotional whilst recalling her stillbirth son in 2010

During a very candid interview on The Jonathan Ross Show, which aired on Saturday, Nov. 8, Allen remembered losing her first child and said, "I think it's difficult for anybody regardless of what world they live in...it was the most unfortunate thing that can ever happen to a person."

Allen, who also suffered a miscarriage in 2008, credits her husband, Sam Cooper, for getting her trough this dark time as he was at her side throughout the tragic ordeal. "Actually what I took home from that experience was.I was very fortunate in the sense that I have a loving partner to go home to and share that experience with," she said.

Even though the 29 year-old singer went on to give birth to two daughters - Ethel (2) and Marnie (1), whom she shares with Cooper, Allen is still very aware of the alarming frequency of stillbirths throughout the U.K.

"There are...17 stillbirths in the UK every day...and there are many women that go home and they don't have that support, they have to go home and deal with that on their own so I am kind of in a...count-my-blessings scenario rather than feeling sorry for myself," she continued.

Now a mother of two, Allen also admitted she wouldn't be against trying for a third. "I'd love a boy. And I'd also like another girl just so I can call her Auxiliary Jane or Pizza," she joked. "I quite like Pizza for a kid, or Megan Lolz that would be good. Megan Lolz."
