Lily Allen and David Walliams have heaped praise on British singer Gary Barlow for honouring Take That's appearance at the Olympics Closing Ceremony on Sunday (12Aug12), just eight days after his daughter was delivered stillborn.
The singer and his wife Dawn were left devastated on 4 August (12) when they lost baby Poppy, and Barlow was inundated with well wishes from fans.
Take That's appearance at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Games was in question, but Barlow and his bandmates took to the stage at the Olympic Stadium as planned to sing Rule The World - and his famous friends were full of praise for his performance.
Pregnant Allen, who lost two babies before giving birth to daughter Ethel in November (11), declared on Twitter.com, "I don't know how Gary Barlow does it. Amazing. What a guy, seriously brave."
Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh wrote, "Full of admiration for (Gary Barlow) tonight", while Glee actor Damian MCGinty ‏offered, "Gary Barlow. Should be any kid's role model. After what he went through this week, this is incredible."
Funnyman Walliams adds, "A brave man. And a national treasure. We love you Gary", and British singer Beverley Knight ‏told her followers, "Major admiration for (Gary Barlow). That could not have been an easy gig."
