Marla Mabrey could be the next talk of the town, having already made a name for herself by being named the local beauty queen in the small town she grew up in, much bigger things await the brunette beauty. Hollywood is on her doorstep and with a little luck she's about to become one of the biggest actresses the town knows.

The year is 1958 and Marla is accompanied to the city by her mother having grown up in a strict Baptist environment, some people might judge Marla as being a little frigid, especially as the city is just on the brink of a feminist uprising. She doesn't drink, smoke or believe in premarital sex but the city might just loosen Marla up and introduce her to a few vices she never thought she'd take up.

She's Not Just Phil Collins' Daughter! But Who Is Lily Collins?

Lily Collins

Lily Collins isn’t just the daughter of Phil Collins. The stunning 25 year old actress and model began acting when she was just two years old, starring in the BBC series Growing Pains. Now sure, it may have been easier for her to break into the business because of her famous dad, but Lily has never been averse to hard work. When she was still just a teenager Collins began writing her own column NY Confidential for British mag Elle Girl, also contributing to Seventeen, Teen Vogue and the Los Angeles Times supplement magazines.

In 2009 she starred in The Blind Side, the film for which Sandra Bullock won the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Collins played the daughter of Bullock’s character, Collins Tuohy. She has since gone on to star in Priest, alongside Paul Bettany, as well as playing Samantha in Stuck in Love, which she starred in with Bettany’s wife, Jennifer Connelly and Greg Kinnear.

Lily Collins Hugh Bonneville Michelle Dockery

The second episode of Downton Abbey's fourth season managed to pull in 9.6 million viewers according to Inquisitr - beating the premiere episode last week. Ratings are expected to be equally impressive for the American premiere of season 4, set to air in January.

Downton Abbey Season 4
Matthew's Death Devastated Downton.

As rating rose, so did the widowed Lady Mary's spirits as the doom and gloom of episode one's grieving was lightened with some dancing. Although Mary (Michelle Dockery) did not join in with said dancing despite the invitation from Cousin Rose (Lily James), there was a palpable optimism in the air as the Lady moved out of her slump and back into the land of the living.

Mortal Instruments' Lily Collins Is "Most Dangerous Celebrity" Online

Lily Collins Sandra Bullock Jon Hamm Avril Lavigne Kathy Griffin Zoe Saldana

Lily Collins has been names the "most dangerous celebrity" of the year by security company McAfee after it was discovered that typing in the 24 year-old Mortal Instruments actress' name yielded more "risky" results, i.e. malicious websites, than any other.

Lily Collins
She May Look Harmless But...

Though it may not be an accolade to be proud of, Lily being identified as the most virus-laden online name of the year serves as a warning for those who seek information on their favorite stars, films, or TV shows: cybercriminals are adept at taking advantage of the latest cultural trends to net unsuspecting web surfers.

This weekend Lee Daniels' The Butler may not have been, financially, as successful as last weekend. It made over $17 million this week as opposed to the $25 million it earned in its opening weekend. Meanwhile We're the Millers, starring Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis, made $13 million down from $17 million last weekend. The comedy made a similar amount to The Butler in its opening weekend ($26 million) yet has continued, by comparison, to be more financially profitable.

The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones Review

OK

Fans of Cassandra Clare's book series won't mind that this film is overcrowded and chaotic, but the uninitiated will be worn out by what feels like a superficial mash-up of leather-clad stereotypes. Director Zwart (who remade The Karate Kid) certainly creates a lively sense of energy, zipping through each scene as if he's trying to cram every moment in the book into two hours. But as a result, nothing grabs hold.

Our hero is Clary (Collins), a New York teen whose mother (Headey) never told her that she was a Shadowhunter, a half-angel whose job is to protect humanity from demons. But just as she meets goth dreamboat Shadowhunter Jace (Campbell Bower), her mom is kidnapped. So she and her best pal Simon (Sheehan), who has a secret crush on her, travel with Jace into the city's underworld of angels, demons, werewolves and vampires. At the secret Shadowhunter headquarters, she meets leader Hodge (Harris) as well as siblings Alec and Isabelle (Zegers and West). And everyone warns her about the villainous Valentine (Meyers), who has some sort of nefarious master plan involving Clary and her magical cup.

The film is structured as a series of quests, as Clary learns about her supernatural abilities by visiting the City of Bones under a cemetery, breaking into a church to collect a stash of demon-fighting weapons, consulting with a variety of magical creatures, and so on. But these individual sequences never quite connect together into a story with any momentum. It's simply impossible to get involved in these events without being able to identify with the characters, none of whom are properly developed. Obviously, readers of the books won't have this problem, but such a fragmented film is unlikely to draw new fans to the franchise.

Why Isn't 'Mortal Instruments' A 'Twilight' Copy?

Lily Collins Jamie Campbell Bower Harald Zwart

Mortal Instruments: City of Bones has not been treated kindly by critics. The movie adaptation of author Cassandra Clare's six-part young adult fantasy series has been found to have too many similarities to Stephenie Meyer's vampire novels, too soon after Twilight.

Mortal Instruments
The Young Castt Assemble In The Supernatural Action Adventure.

The trailer itself is laden with plotlines that have become clichéd in the fantasy drama. A young girl named Clary (Lily Collins) reaches the end of her teens without finding out she's not a "Mundane" (yep, this one has words for "normal" humans too). In fact, unbeknownst to the wide-eyed yet determined female protagonist, she has the powers of a 'Shadowhunter' - angelic beings whose job it is to rid the world of demons.

Fans Disappointed By 'Mortal Instruments' Movie: Were We Ready For Another Fantasy Adaptation?

Lily Collins Jamie Campbell Bower

Mortal Instruments: City of Bones has been released in movie form and is the latest in a line of teen fiction adaptations to take flight on screen.

The floodgates have been opened now with Hollywood seemingly rushing to turn as many fiction series into movies as possible. With nerd culture suddenly trendy, it's now seen as cool to be openly enraptured by a character or plotline and Comic-Con type events where new releases are trumpeted are bigger than ever.

Mortal Instruments...Of Torture, Critics Slate Harald Zwart's Movie

Harald Zwart Lily Collins Jonathan Rhys Meyers Lena Headey

In a cinematic landscape that includes Harry Potter and Twilight shapes mountains, there isn’t much room for another supernatural teenage escape pod. The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones has attempted to muscle in there unnoticed, but the critics have found it out.

Mortal InstrumentsTeenagers with attitude (and actual weapons)

The story follows a familiar theme of the genre: young teenager – this time Lily Collins as Clary – finds out she can’t just get drunk at 16, moan about homework and eventually marry and have two kids because she’s got to go and save the world. Clary is next in a long line of demon slayers, and has to fulfil her destiny to fight off evil. Having teamed up with people like her, she descends to the dangerous alternate New York called Downworld.

Lily Collins To Star As Zombie Slayer In 'Pride & Prejudice & Zombies'

Lily Collins Natalie Portman David O Russell

Lily Collins will be able to add butt-kicking action star/period actress to her resumé soon, as she has been cast as the lead actress in the on-again-off-again movie adaptation of the mash-up novel Pride & Prejudice & Zombies, Variety have reported. The actress has previously held similar roles in Mirror Mirror and the upcoming adaptation of the teen-fantasy novel The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.

The movie reworking of author Seth Grahame-Smith's retelling of Pride & Prejudice, with added zombies, has been floating around Hollywood for some time now, with the first few attempts to make the film being dropped after too many would-be directors abandoned the project. The film has gained new financing though, from would-be Miss Bennet Natalie Portman as well as Annette Savitch of Handsomecharlie films, Sean McKittrick of Darko Entertainment and Allison Shearmur of Allison Shearmur Productions.

How Lily Collins Saved Natalie Portman's 'Pride And Prejudice AND ZOMBIES'

Lily Collins Natalie Portman

Lily Collins, the young British star who rose to fame in Mirror Mirror, will play the lead in the big-screen adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It's been a long road for the project, which began with producer Natalie Portman deciding she would play the list. Things soon changed when scheduling conflicts got in the way, while the intended director David O'Russell always left the project. A revolving door of lead actresses, reportedly including Anne Hathaway and Scarlett Johansson, sniffed around the movie, though Collins was able to commit. Charlie St. Cloud director Burr Steers is reportedly in line to direct, according to Empire magazine.

The script - still credited to O'Russell - closely follows Jane Austen's classic novel Pride and Prejudice, though sees a dangerous conflict against a zombie apocalypse in late 18th century England. Lizzie Bennett (played by Collins) will be tasked with fighting the undead.

Hollywood is hot for zombies at the moment, with recent flick 'Warm Bodies' seemingly coming from nowhere to make over $110 million worldwide. If World War Z proves to be as big a success as expected this summer, the team behind Pride and Prejudice and Zombies may well be rubbing their hands together. Collins has plenty of time to boost of profile and she next stars in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, which hits theaters on August 23, 2013.

'Stuck In Love' Sees Greg Kinnear And Lily Collins Play Father-Daughter Novelists (Trailer)

Greg Kinnear Lily Collins Jennifer Connelly

A trailer for 'Stuck In Love,' the new comedy-drama starring Greg Kinnear, Lily Collins and Jennifer Connelly, is here! The movie follows William Borgens (Kinnear), a once highly regarded novelist whose wife (Connelly) leaves him for a younger, more handsome man. William is unable to write a single word in light of the heart-breaking divorce and spends his days spying on his ex-wife through her window.

However, his pretty friend-with-benefits, played by Kristin Bell, does her best to get him back into the dating game, picking out his outfits and setting up an online dating profile. Elsewhere, his promiscuous daughter (Collins) is beginning to forge her own career and gets her first book published. His son Rusty, an aspiring writer, tries to show a troubled and vulnerable girl that he is the guy to her. It all looks good fun, and Kinnear is always good value for money, especially in the self-deprecating, down-on-his-luck creative type roles.

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones Trailer

Clary Fray has been made to live as a normal girl all her life with her mother making sure she never discovers who she truly is. However, when she watches a man getting slaughtered in a nightclub and seemingly is the only one who notices, she starts to suspect that there's more to the world than most people can see. The killer is a man called Jace who reveals himself as a Shadowhunter; a half-angel demon slayer with the power to make himself invisible to the Mundane (humans). Soon, Clary discovers that her mother is in grave danger having been brutally kidnapped from their home and she finds out that her mother is also a Shadowhunter who has been having Clary's memories of unusual happenings blocked all her life. Video - Victoria's Secret Models Outshine Dakota Fanning And Kate Bosworth - Cfda Fashion Awards Part 5

Failing to impress E! Online were 'I Am Sam' star Dakota Fanning in a colourful kimono style dress with black platforms, 'Superman Returns' actress Kate Bosworth in a heavily elaborate gypsy style dress that E! described as 'a 70s tablecloth' and 'Mirror, Mirror' star Lily Collins in a golden, high-necked number with an A-line skirt.

However, Victoria's Secret model Erin Heatherton looked utterly dazzling in a summer turquoise dress as did fellow VS model Doutzen Kroes in a similar style dress but in a sultry black. Another Victoria's Secret fashion success was Candice Swanepoel who donned a cute plait and pale blue, transparent, lacy dress that really didn't leave too much to the imagination

Good
Both lavishly produced and light-hearted in tone, this fractured fairy tale aspires to be The Princess Bride, and actually gets it right from time to time.

While it's too uneven and corny to be a classic, it's still a lot of fun.

After the King disappears, his daughter Snow White (Collins) is raised by her conniving step-mother (Roberts), who plots with her right-hand man (Lane) to steal the kingdom from Snow. Then handsome Prince Alcott (Hammer) arrives and shakes things up, immediately falling for Snow, which sends the queen into even crazier fits of jealousy. She sends Snow into the woods to be eaten by a mythical beast, but Snow instead befriends a gang of dwarf bandits (Povinelli, Klebba, Saraceno, Prentice, Gnoffo and Woodburn), who teach her how to fight back.

Abduction Review

OK
There's an intriguing premise to this snappy action thriller, but it's never properly developed by the inane script and bland direction. Director Singleton and writer Christensen are far more interested in macho posturing and nasty violence than characters or plausibility.

Nathan (Lautner) is a lively Pittsburgh teen with even livelier parents (Isaacs and Bello), although he sees a shrink (Weaver) to keep his anger issues in check. While working on a school project with childhood crush Karen (Collins), he stumbles across a missing-child website with a picture of him at age 3.

Suddenly he doubts who he really is, and indeed he and Karen have uncovered a secret involving a foreign agent (Nyqvist) and a CIA boss (Molina) who are both desperate to get their hands on some important information.
