The actress has replaced Emma Watson as the celeb most likely to get your computer a virus next time you go to 'research' her
Next time you need to do a little independent 'research' on the actress Lily Collins, you best be careful what you click on, as the actress has topped a poll ranking the most virus-friendly celebrity names on the web. According to a McAfee poll, the The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones-star poses the biggest risk of landing you on a malicious site should you go searching for her name for whatever purpose you may have in mind.
Lily Collins is a dangerous woman... on the web
Last year, it was Emma Watson that topped the chart as the most dangerous celebrity, but the Brit star was nowhere to be seen in the top ten of the female-dominated list of malware-friendly celebrity names. Avril Lavigne, Sandra Bullock, Kathy Griffin and Zoe Saldana completed the top five, whilst Jon Hamm was the only male star to get a name check in the top ten. The rest of the top ten was made up of Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Adriana Lima and Emma Roberts.
As the anti-virus software points out in their report, a person could end up with a nasty piece of malware or a CPU-threatening virus after doing a general search on Google or another similar search tool and clicking on dubious, unfamiliar links. These risks are increased even further if a person were to add phrases like 'free apps' or 'nude photos' and carry out the search.
Jon Hamm and Sandra Bullock also pose a threat to your computer's health
Collins, when she isn't busy posing a threat to your computer's safety, is currently filming the romantic comedy Love, Rosie after starring in the box office bomb that was The Mortal Instruments. With a franchise planned to follow the first movie, after suffering such a disastrous run in cinemas, producers at Constantin Film are currently contemplating the future of the movie series and may halt production on any further The Mortal Instruments films indefinitely.
