Robin Thicke's New Album Titled 'Paula': Ten More Cringe-Worthy Album Titles

In perhaps the most audacious and downright ridiculous move the music business has witnessed in the last few years, singer Robin Thicke has announced his new album will carry the title of Paula, which by some strange coincidence just happens to be the name of his estranged wife- actress Paula Patton.

To say such a public declaration of love is cringe-worthy would be an understatement, it is such a trite attempt at reconciling with his wife that is seems like something straight out of Spinal Tap. You can imagine the album title sitting quite comfortably alongside the likes of Smell The Glove and Shark Sandwich. As if that wasn’t irksome enough, Thicke’s debut single from the album is entitled "Get Her Back” and it sees the ageing crooner positively straining to exude as much heartfelt sincerity as he can before he gives himself a heart attack.

You may know Fred Durst as the perpetually angry, 90-s influenced front man of Limp Bizkit, but apparently he has several other projects in the works. Among them, an hour-long “music drama” created for CW, the network which brought you life-affirming productions like Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural and now this.

Durst is attempting to break back into pop culture with a CW project.

According to the LA Times the project is set to be based on Durst’s own life and eventual rise to fame as the vocalist of Limp Bizkit. It will chronicle the band’s career through the glory days of MTV and TRL, when tracks like Break Stuff and Nookie provided the musical background to many a teenage bedroom.

New Limp Bizkit Track Featuring Lil Wayne Is Ready To Blow

Limp Bizkit

This is probably great news for anyone who still wears baseball caps backwards, cuts their jeans off at the knee-caps and enjoys gratuitous swearing even though they’re at least pushing 30 by now – Limp Bizkit are back! That’s right Fred Durst, who ‘did it all for the nookie’ back in the day, evidently hasn’t had enough of the stuff, which is why he’s refusing to leave us all the ruddy hell alone.

The ‘nu-‘metallers drop the F-bomb within three seconds of new tune ‘Ready To Go,’ which puts them pretty much back to where they’ve always been – loud, trashy and full of nonsense. However they come with a special guest in tow, rapper Lil Wayne. You might think that having a real bona fide rapper on board might mercifully mean that we’re saved any of Durst’s piddling attempts at rhyme-play, but you’d be wrong, in fact Wayne just seems to encourage the foul-mouthed vocalist to greater absurdities. Seriously, someone stuff that red cap in his mouth already.
